June Institute for Board Chairs and Presidents

Institute sessions (both Winter and Summer) are limited to 17 teams, so early registration is strongly encouraged. The registration fee for a board chair-president team is payable to AGB upon receipt of the completed registration form. The fee includes registration, two private rooms for two nights, meals, refreshments, and program materials. Registration fees are identified on the registration form. To register, download the form and send it with a check, purchase order or credit card information.

In addition to the information and insight participants gain from the program's intensive discussions, they also receive complimentary copies of some of AGB's most useful publications addressing academic leadership: Effective Governing Boards, Presidential and Board Assessment in Higher Education, and Board Basics on The Executive Committee, The Committee on Trustees, and The Board Chair's Responsibilities. Each participant also receives articles and instructional materials.

This program is available only to board chairs and presidents of independent institutions that are members of AGB. The registration fee, less an administrative charge of $600 per person, is refundable until 30 days prior to the start of the program.

Due to the intensive nature of the Institute, spouses and families are not included in the program. The curriculum is designed with a strong emphasis on developing the board chair-president relationship through private interaction and collaboration between these two individuals, making full use of the participants' time throughout the three-day meeting. AGB appreciates and honors that commitment by all participants.
