The 2013 AGB National Conference on Trusteeship looks at the big ideas and emerging trends that are transforming higher education and the responsibility of governing boards, together with institutional leaders, to lead effectively.

The only national gathering designed specifically for higher education boards and institutional leaders, the conference focuses on governance-related issues and provides opportunities to learn best practices, experience how other boards are addressing challenges, hear provocative talks by internationally recognized thought leaders, and engage with board members and leaders from across higher education.

Select keynote speakers at this year’s NCT include:

  • Richard Chait, professor of higher education at the Harvard University School of Education, leading a panel on The Velocity and Trajectory of Change in Higher Education
  • Roger W. Ferguson, Jr., president and chief executive officer, TIAA-CREF, speaking on The Changing Economy: How It's Reshaping the Board's Role
  • Arthur Levine, president, The Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation,
    speaking on Today’s College Students
  • Robert Reich, former Secretary of Labor and professor of public policy,
University of California, Berkeley, speaking on Education for a Competitive Future
