2012 Workshop for Board Professionals

The 2012 Workshop for Board Professionals will be held at the Gaylord National Harbor Hotel in Washington, D.C. This annual workshop, held in conjunction with the National Conference on Trusteeship, is conducted specifically for board professionals. A planning committee of board professionals, led by committee Chair Dusti Cermak of The University of Iowa Foundation and Vice Chair Adriel Hilton of Upper Iowa University, develops the workshops, roundtables, and plenary sessions to ensure that the program delivers support, information, and professional growth to those in the profession.

Refund policy:
All cancellations and requests for refunds must be submitted in writing. AGB will issue a full refund if written notification of cancellation is postmarked by February 24, 2012. AGB is unable to issue refunds for attendees who cancel after this date. If you are unable to attend, a substitute is welcome in your place at no additional charge. AGB will issue refunds after the conference. AGB is not responsible for any cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines, travel agents, or hotels.

Gaylord National is just a 15-minute drive from Washington Reagan National Airport (DCA) and within a 45-minute drive from Dulles (IAD) and Baltimore Washington (BWI) International Airports. Shuttle service and car service are available from either airport to the hotel.

Note: Gaylord National Hotel is currently sold out of rooms on April 19th and 20th and is currently maintaining a waiting list for those who would like to stay at the conference hotel. We do expect rooms to open up, so we encourage you to request to be placed on the waiting list even if you make other arrangements. AGB has secured a small block of rooms at the rate of $199 per night at the Hampton Inn and Suites, 250 Waterfront Street, National Harbor, MD 20745, directly across the street from the Gaylord.

There are a number of hotels at National Harbor, all of which are less than a 10 minute walking distance to the Gaylord and the rates are comparable.
