State Policy Briefs
The Center issues periodic studies, state policy analysis, and short-term action research that examines and illuminates critical issues in public policy affecting the relationship of states to their higher education system.
Center staff contribute frequently to effective state policy and governance through state policy briefs, and longer research and policy analysis. Topics in the past have included reports on recent state action and legislation affecting governance and trusteeship, state open meetings and records laws, trustee merit selection, statewide board education, and state ethics and conflict of interest laws and executive orders. These reports, analyses, and policy briefs are distributed widely to a large member and policymaker audience.
