Prior to joining AGB, Dr. Snyder was president of Indiana Institute of Technology from 2003-2017. Upon his retirement he was honored with the title president emeritus. Before becoming president, he served as dean of the Tabor School of Business and the Dwayne O. Andreas Chair of Executive Management at Millikin University. Prior to joining academia, Dr. Snyder enjoyed a 20+ year career in the telecommunications industry at AT&T, rising to the position of vice president. Dr. Snyder is widely recognized as an academic leader and manager who has combined business and academic acumen effectively into practice. Under his leadership, Indiana Tech experienced extraordinary growth. Academic offerings expanded to include exercise science, as well as programs in biomedical and energy engineering, elementary education, cybersecurity, and criminal justice. In total, more than 30 new curricular programs were developed. The addition of hybrid delivery systems, and the establishment of 14 remote campuses, contributed to enrollment growth of over 400%. By assembling and supporting a strong leadership team, Art transformed the campus culture to one of continuous improvement and learning. He implemented long range strategic and budget planning systems and increased fundraising success which resulted in an 800% increase in the endowment. During his tenure Indiana Tech’s physical campus added nine new buildings and major renovations to several others.
