Justin Kollinger is Associate Vice President, AGB Consulting, where he leads a team focused on strategy, leadership, and governance for colleges, universities, and institutionally related foundations. In this role, he partners with institutional and foundation leaders to navigate complex organizational dynamics and strengthen alignment between governance structures and institutional priorities. He brings a decade of consulting experience, including extensive project management, complemented by more than 15 years working in and alongside the higher education sector.
Justin’s consulting work spans institutional strategy, governance, and enterprise risk management, with a focus on supporting boards and executive leadership in designing around strategic goals and managing risk. He manages a portfolio of engagements that includes governance evaluation and design, board education and development, and leadership assessment. His experience includes working with institutionally related foundations and higher education stakeholders to assess governance effectiveness, enhance oversight practices, and improve coordination across affiliated entities.
He is a co-author of Risk Management: An Accountability Guide for University and College Boards (AGB, 2022), and has previously held roles at United Educators, EAB, and Georgetown University. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Rock Creek Conservancy, where he chairs the Governance Committee.

Justin holds a Master of Arts in Communication, Culture, and Technology from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Affairs from Gettysburg College.
