In January 2022, Thomas More University joined in a pilot initiative introduced by the John N. Gardner Institute for Excellence in Undergraduate Education (Gardner Institute) and the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges (AGB).
Student success is the core mission of higher education.
Colleges and universities, at their core, exist to enable student success. To ensure this, higher education boards must be equipped to oversee not only metrics such as student retention and graduation rates but consequential policies, practices, and resources to ensure desired outcomes—for all students.
To help institutions and foundations in this effort, AGB has aligned with key partners to develop tools, resources, and learning opportunities to help governing boards advance equitable student success. Learn more about these initiatives below.
“Strategic governing boards are transforming their institutions to oversee successful outcomes for all students, and in doing so, reinforcing the power of higher education for individuals, their communities, and society as a whole.”
