A Collaborative Coaching Model for Cultivating Strategic Leadership

By Christine Bradaric-Baus, PhD

In June 2025, the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) launched its new strategic plan positioning collaborative advantage as its central guiding principle. This strategic approach aims to achieve meaningful impact through purposeful collaborations, partnerships, and shared expertise.

Collaborative Advantage Strategy

Within academic environments, collaboration often involves institutions, faculty, or learners sharing knowledge and resources to achieve shared objectives. Inter-institutional collaborations, such as joint research initiatives, are common among academic organizations with shared interests, while intra-institutional collaboration often supports the development of innovative teaching methods or programs. Less commonly, however, internal collaboration is intentionally leveraged to foster professional growth among employees or to advance strategic institutional priorities.
