At community colleges, we like to say we serve everyone. We say we create opportunities. We say we meet students where they are. All of that is true. But none of it matters if students don’t make it across the finish line. Let’s get straight to the point: If your students aren’t earning a degree or certificate, transferring, or obtaining a job at a livable wage, then what are you doing to support student success? Student success must be measured by one factor alone—that factor is outcomes.
