‘Confidentiality breach’ halts College of the Desert’s search for next superintendent

The search for the next permanent president/superintendent at College of the Desert has been canceled, after a reported breach of confidentiality by “one or more members of the presidential search committee has compromised the fairness and trust that are fundamental to this process,” the college’s spokesperson said in a statement. The search committee includes 19 voting members, all of whom signed confidentiality agreements. The board of trustees approved the committee’s structure at the Aug.

MSU’s accreditors visit campus for decennial review amid concerns over board

An outside investigation completed earlier this year found that two trustees have done just that. Colorado Mountain College Board of Trustees seeks 2 new members

At its Oct. 22 meeting, the Colorado Mountain College Board of Trustees voted to add two new at-large trustee seats to its board as permitted under C.R.S. § 23-71-110. Currently, the CMC board consists of seven elected trustees who represent the following school districts: Eagle County, Lake County, Aspen, Steamboat Springs, Summit, Salida, Roaring Fork RE-1, Garfield District 16 and Garfield RE-2. Since 2020, a non-voting trustee liaison has represented Salida on the CMC board.
