Amy J. Hilbelink, Senior Consultant, AGB Consulting


Dr. Amy Hilbelink is the former executive director of Strategic Partner Initiatives for the Laureate Network Office, a division of Laureate Education, Inc. Dr. Hilbelink’s responsibilities include advising and consulting with academic campus partners on innovative approaches to student learning solutions to ensure positive student outcomes. Her work has taken her recently to India where, in addition to her campus work, she has created a development center that will address the online design and development needs of the Asia Pacific, Middle East and South Africa (AMEA) region. Additionally, Dr. Hilbelink recently worked with Monash South Africa in the collaborative design and execution of a number of new programs for accreditation approval. Dr. Hileblink served as the assistant vice chancellor for South University at Education Management Corporation (EDMC). She held senior roles in the areas of academic strategy and development, as well as curriculum development at Kaplan University where she led teams of course designers and developers. Dr. Hilbelink’s background includes work within traditional and for-profit institutions of higher education. Interests include online academic quality initiatives, regional and programmatic accreditation, project development, and management. She has been an Academic Quality Improvement reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission, and has experience working with the Southern Association of College and Schools, Commission on Colleges (SACS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

Professional Credentials

Dr. Hilbelink earned her BA degree from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, and her MA and PhD from the University of South Florida. She served on the Executive Advisory Board for the Masters in Instructional Design program at St. Leo University in San Antonio, Florida, and for the Institute for Engaged Leadership for Online Learning, sponsored by the Online Learning Consortium (formerly SLOAN-C).
