Albizu University President Nelson Soto Joins AGB Council of Presidents 

Members of the Michigan Democratic Party voted Saturday to nominate two candidates for the University of Michigan Board of Regents. Incumbent University Regent Denise Ilitch and former University Regent Shauna Ryder Diggs received nominations for the Board, defeating Palestinian American civil rights attorney Huwaida Arraf. The University’s Board of Regents was the only contested nomination at the Michigan Democratic Convention on Saturday.

Roderick J. McDavis called Ohio University home for many years, first as a student and then years later as the University’s 20th President. Now, OHIO students will have the opportunity to call the Roderick J. McDavis Residence Hall their home, feeling the same spirit of a man whose dedication and love for his alma mater showcase exactly what it meant to be a Bobcat. “Deborah and I are deeply humbled by this great honor,” President Emeritus McDavis said.

FL: He Was the U. of Florida’s Provost for 15 Years. And the U. of Arizona’s for a Month. 

After only a monthlong stint as the University of Arizona’s provost, Joseph Glover is returning to his previous role at the University of Florida. Glover, who served as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at UF for 15 years, announced Tuesday in an email to UA faculty and students that he would be leaving the university. According to the letter, W. Kent Fuchs, Florida’s interim president and Glover’s old boss, asked him to return as the university undergoes a “major transition.”
