Stephen T. Golding, Senior Consultant, AGB Consulting


Mr. Stephen T. Golding serves as the vice president for finance and administration at Ohio University and treasurer of the Ohio University Foundation. He has over 30 years of experience in higher education financial affairs, investment management, strategic resource planning, and government. Mr. Golding is responsible for implementing financial policies and managing most of the university’s financial and administrative functions and operations on the Ohio University–Athens campus. Additionally, he serves as managing partner for the 1782 Group, a higher education consulting group. Prior to Ohio University, he was the executive vice president for finance and administration at Cornell University. He has also served as principal advisor to the Governor’s Task Force on Diversifying the New York State Economy and the Ohio Board of Regents Fifth Condition Report: Advancing Ohio’s Innovation Economy. This report focused on developing strategies to sponsor and commercialize New York State and Ohio universities’ technology to promote regional-based economic development. Prior to joining Cornell, Mr. Golding served as the chief financial officer for both the University of Colorado System and the University of Pennsylvania.
