<p class=”pf”>Last October I was invited by United Educators to attend the biennial meeting of its Counsel Advisory Committee. United Educators (UE) is a member-owned risk retention group founded by educational institutions in 1987 that provides insurance coverage to its members. Every other year, UE assembles a group of lawyers who represent their members to share recent trends, legal developments, and risk management insights. The group includes some chief legal officers like me as well as outside litigators who defend UE members.</p>
