Crisis Management Part II: Managing and Recovering in the COVID Era
Sometimes, crisis cannot be avoided—it must be managed, and even leveraged. No matter how diligent your board and leadership team, no matter how anticipatory and prepared your institution or system, crises will happen. The governing board’s role in responding to a crisis, staying abreast of developments as they unfold and providing steady oversight concomitant with the board’s ultimate accountability for resolving the crisis, is essential. More than that, the board has a responsibility to ensure recovery from a crisis leaves the institution stronger going forward. Watch this session to learn frameworks for understanding the nature of your crisis, principles for effective board response, and keys to organizational resiliency through governance.
