Cooperative partnerships and alliances that can help manage the increasingly complex world of higher education are more frequently on governing boards’ and university leaders’ minds these days. The global pandemic, inflation, declining enrollments, increasing tuitions, and high levels of debt have all encouraged growing numbers of colleges and universities to pursue such affiliations as a means to permanently reduce the pressures on their enrollments and finances and to ease the uncertainty and volatility they face.
