AGB filed an amicus brief to the Supreme Court of the United States in support of the Houston Community College System in Houston Community College Systems v. David Buren Wilson. This case involves a question about whether a public board’s “speech” (in the form of a board censure) can violate an individual’s First Amendment rights. In AGB’s view, this case was not about First Amendment rights but rather, fundamentally, about the right of boards of directors of colleges and universities to self-govern.
